ABOUT THE BAND

LET THE ROCKIN’ DO THE TALKIN’

International rock and rollers The Aviators are here for one reason and one reason only….TO FILL YOUR SOUL WITH ROCK AND ROLL!

They are the 2015 Cathouse Live Battle of the bands winners and recently played THE huge 80’s rock and roll festival in Irvine California (also named Cathouse Live) on August 15th. Here is a review of that show: http://socalmusictoday.com/cathouse-live-festival-stage-irvine-meadows-08152015/

2015 has seen the band reach new heights! Bigger stages, bigger venues and bigger crowds as they press on in their quest for rock and roll supremacy!
In May of 2014 they opened for the hard rock trio California Breed (Glenn Hughes, Jason Bonham and Andrew Watt) at The Whisky A Go Go. The Aviators proved that not only can they write great songs and entertain a large crowd, but they can hold their own as a headlining act anywhere! Also in May of 2014, the band headlined the nations largest Relay for Life event in Bakersfield CA.With 83 shows in 2014 including corporate events, private parties and casino gigs, they show no signs of slowing down in 2015! Currently playing up and down the California coast and Canada they are a hard rock band that doesn’t pull any punches. Powerhouse vocals, dual Les Pauls and a thunderous rhythm section round out this raw and supremely talented group of young rockers.

With 3 full length albums, 30+ original songs and a music catalog spanning over the last 7 decades, The Aviators are seasoned veterans of the rock and roll stage!

Lead by amazing lead singer August Young, twenty-year-old phenom lead guitarist Will Slikker, the band hails from Southern California and plays high energy, precision rock and roll!

Drawing around 150-200 people locally, The Aviators are regulars at the Whisky A Go-Go, playing there 12-13 times in 2014, and also playing the Los Angeles Marathon and the San Diego Half Marathon for around 50,000 runners.

Their song “Wolfman” has been featured on 106.7 Rodney on the Roq with legendary DJ Rodney Bingenheimer and on http://www.knac.com/index.asp with DJ Will

Along with being the first band to ever open for California Breed, they have played with Great White, Fuel, Montrose, The Quireboys, Black Oak Arkansas, Led Zepagain, Bonfire, The Bullet Boys, Tuff, Little Caesar, Pretty Boy Floyd, Tracii Guns, Gilby Clark and members of Foreigner, Whitesnake, Cinderella, Dramarama and Poison.
